Cyathea lunulata is a large tree fern tall with 8-10 m trunk and occasionally even 20 m. The giant leaves may reach about 6 m in length! It grows in tropical and sub-tropical rain forest and coastal forest from sea level to 100 m. It grows on many islands like the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Samoa, New Caledonia, Fiji, Tonga, Bismarck Archipelago, Caroline and Mariana islands. Winterhardy: 0C°.
