Cyathea milnei is found on Raoul Island in the Kermadec Islands in New Zealand. Cyathea milnei resembles Cyathea dealbata and is therefore also some cold resistant. The difference is that Cyathea milnei has not the famous silver colour on the underside of the fronds like Cyathea dealbata. It is a medium-sized tree fern with a dense crown, a trunk that may be as tall as 8 m and fronds as long as 4 m; the dead fronds form a skirt around the trunk. -5C°.
