Dicksonia fibrosa is a beautiful tree fern from New-Zealand with an erect massive trunk, sometimes as tall as 6 m and 20-30 cm thick. The dark green fronds are firmly structured and reach a length of 1-3 m long. The crown spreads itself very nicely. Sometimes by D.fibrosa and D.antarctica more plants grow together resulting in multitrunked heads. Like the D.antarctica it prefers a cool and moist environment and a location with partly shade or filtered light. The soil should be very well-drained. It is a very cold-hardy tree fern and will tolerate light to medium frost. -10°C. In our webshop we have this tree fern for sale. |
