Hesperaloe
funifera is native to Northern Mexico and is an excellent plant with a
bold, striking form. This clumping, stemless, upright plant grows with
rigid and erect bright-green foliage. It is 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide.
At its broadest point it grows to 6 feet tall and wide. Giant Hesperaloe
has stiff, broad, lime green leafs with coarse white fibers along the
margins. The plants will flower from early April to October, sending up
a 12-15 feet tall flower spike of creamy white flowers. Giant Hesperaloe,
should be planted in full sun and well-drained soil. It tolerates reflected
heat exposures, and is hardy to 0°F (-18°C).
