Trachycarpus fortunei var. Tesan

A new and stronger variety of the fortunei!
It has a fat and relatively short trunk, compacted, big, thick and green leave with a blunt tip, and it is more winterhardy than the normal one.
There are various subspecies of the Trachycarpus fortunei including Trachycarpus fortunei var chusan, tesan, winsan etc.
When people normally talk about the fortunei, it refers to the most common T. fortunei var. chusan.
Here we offer the more special T. fortunei var. tesan, which is a good new species, famous for its cold hardiness -20°C.
The seeds are white dark blue, the biggest of all trachycarpus with much white wax all over the outer skin making it different from others.
The seedling is growing fast with comparatively broader leaves and has stronger life and easy to grow.
What is special is it withstands -20°C based on the cultivation experiment decades ago. But the palms are quite scarcely available as Tesan is a newly found species and the cultivation costs are still high.
