Yucca capensis
Still a rare Yucca from the cape region of Baja California Sur, where it is found in dry forests but also reaching the oak forest at higher elevations of 1000 m or more.
It looks very similar to Yucca madrensis, but grows taller and has wider leaves.
Yucca capensis forms a slender, solitary, upright trunk to about 5 m tall, with a dense crown of stiff, comparatively narrow, yellowish-green leaves.
The flowers are white bell-shaped.
Yucca capensis is best suited to warm temperate climates, although it tolerates drought as well as moderate freezes.
